  This site gives a brief but very useful account of four different types of syllabus. It also highlights their weak and strong points. Even for experienced writers, it's a useful and concise review of the basics.
  
  
• BNC Corpus
  The British National Corpus (BNC) is a 100 million word collection of samples of written and spoken language from a wide range of sources, designed to represent a wide cross-section of British English from the later part of the 20th century, both spoken and written.
  
  
• APA Style Guidelines
  Perceptia Press generally follows APA style guidelines. We do recommend that you get a paper copy of the guidelines, but this site offers a summary of some of the important points.
